The State of West Virginia is located in the Eastern United States. West Virginia is a beautiful state with tree covered hillsides, lovely river valleys and a rich history.

The state has a number of regional recreational trails that extend for miles and allow trail users to experience the great outdoors far from traffic and congestion. Many of these trails were constructed along abandoned railroad right-of-ways or constructed along rivers and have relatively few road crossings. Most of these trails are restricted to non-motorized use in the summer months and allow bike riding, walking and running.
