Recreational Trails located in: Utah
The State of Utah is located on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains. The landscape is a dramatic blend of snowy peaks, deserts outcrops, fertile valleys and of course the Great Salt Lake.
Utah has numerous recreational trail systems for bike riding, walking, running and as access for other activities such as fishing, bird-watching, horseback riding, convening with nature, family outings, commuting, connecting with mass transit, dog walking and for providing safer routes to school.
Many of these paths go through urban areas, where others head into the nearby foothills or travel along the banks of rivers for a shady getaway from the congestion and traffic.
Many of the local communities located throughout the State of Utah are actively expanding their local trail systems, improving, lengthening and connecting existing trails and creating entirely new pathways altogether.
There are many paved and unpaved trails in Utah that extend for miles and have multiple trailheads and parks along the way. Other shorter trails serve local residential areas.
