The State of Colorado is located along the Rocky Mountains in the middle of the United States. Colorado is divided into two regions: the high prairie and the lofty peaks reaching up to fourteen thousand feet in elevation.

Colorado offers a wealth of recreational activities such as skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, boating and general sight seeing. It is also a regional area for cultural events and sports venues with the largest urban population of the western states. Whether you want to wander through a picturesque alpine resort town, go to a football game, gaze out at the open prairie or take on a mountain trail, Colorado is the place to go. 

Colorado has a large number of recreational trails for public non-motorized uses such as bike riding, walking and running located in much part of the state. Many of these trails take you right through the urban areas along the Front Range cities, others take you across the grasslands with views of the Rockies. The path may take you along a peaceful river with cottonwood groves, ponds and parks. In the mountains there are trails that let you wander along the shores of a mountain lake or through a resort town.
