Recreational Trails located in: Massachusetts
The State of Massachusetts is located in the New England area of the Northeastern United States. The state has miles of coastline, the urban area of Boston, Cape Cod and the forests, wetlands and hillsides in the western portion of the state.
Massachusetts has a number of regional recreational trails that connect communities, parks, schools and the commercial and residential areas. Many of these trails are rail-trails that were constructed along an abandoned railroad corridor.
Recreational Trails improve the communities, provide a way to get exercise away from traffic and congestion and are also used for commuting to work and school.
