The Ashuwillticook Rail Trail is an 11-mile long paved pathway that spans between Adams and Pittsfield in Northwestern Massachusetts. The trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad corridor and passes through residential neighborhoods, farmland, wetlands and forested areas. The north end of the trail is near the middle of Adams. The trail goes along the banks of Cheshire Reservoir. The south end is at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough.
Conditions
The Ashuwillticook Rail Trail is paved for its entire length. It is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding, walking and running. There are relatively few street crossings.
