The Minute Man Commuter Bikeway is a 10-mile long paved path that extends from Bedford to Arlington in Eastern Massachusetts. The trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad right-of-way and travels past parks, schools, residential neighborhoods and commercial centers on the outskirts of the Boston urban area. The trail goes past two historic train depots in Bedford and Lexington and ends up at the Alewife Station in Cambridge.
The north portion of the bikeway goes through miles of forested area with long stretches between road crossings. The southern portion of the bikeway goes through more densely populated areas with more frequent road crossings. The bikeway does have a buffer of trees for much of the southern portion.
Conditions
The Minute Man Commuter Bikeway is paved the entire way and is open for non-motorized uses such as bike riding, walking and running. The trail has few curves, but does cross a number of streets.

End Points
The north end of the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway is located at Depot Park at the intersection of Loomis Street and South Road in Bedford. This is the location of the Historic Bedford Depot.
The south end of the bikeway is located at the Alewife Station in Cambridge.
