The Dr. Dudley White Bike Path & Charles River Greenway are paved pathways that follow the Charles River from Downtown Boston to Prospect Street in Waltham. These trails lie within the Charles River Reservation which is a 20-mile long linear park that stretches from Boston Harbor to the west.
The trails provide a beautiful view of the river and a chance to see the Harvard Rowing Club practicing along the river. the east end of the trails connects to the HarborWalk system of trails that wander through the wharves along Boston Harbor and extend into Downtown Boston.
The Charles River Reservation is divided into two sections. The Charles River Basin stretches between the Waterton Dam to Downtown Boston. The Upper Charles River portion stretches between Watertown Square and Riverdale Park in West Roxbury.

The Dr. Dudley White Bike Path is the name for over 18-miles of paved pathways of the DCR Parkway located in the Charles River Basin of the Charles River Reservation.

The Charles River Greenway consists of over 5-miles of paved pathway that extends from Galen Street in Waterton to Maple Street in Waltham. The route of the trail switches from won side of the Charles river to the other.
