The Shining Sea Rail Trail is an 11-mile long paved pathway that is located in North Falmouth and Falmouth in Southeastern Massachusetts. The trail goes past residential neighborhoods, across miles of wetlands, past coves and beaches and ends up at the ferry terminal.
Conditions
The Shining Sea Rail Trail is paved the entire way and is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding, walking and running. There are several street crossings along the way. there are a couple of short gaps in the trail in Falmouth where trail users need to use local streets to reach the next section of trail.
