Railroad Park
Railroad Park is a 19-acre park located along 1st Avenue S., between 14th and 18th Streets in the Downtown Birmingham area. The park has a network of paved walking paths. The park is situated next to Regions Field and is is to the north of the UAB campus.
Vulcan Trail
The Vulcan Trail is a 1-mile long paved pathway located to the west of Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard S. The Vulcan Park and Museum is located at the east end of the trail.
Shades Valley Greenway
The Shades Valley Greenway is a 3-mile long paved pathway located adjacent to Lakeshore Driver between Columbiana Road and Montgomery Parkway. The trail goes past Homewood High School and the Brookwood Village shopping area.
Horse Creek Trail
Horse Creek Trail is a 3.2-mile long paved pathway located between the communities of Dora and Sumiton to the north of Birmingham. The route of the trail includes forested areas away from streets and traffic.
