Rome is located in Floyd County in Northwest Georgia. The city has a number of recreational trails that follow alongside the Oostanaula River through the downtown area.
Downtown Riverfront Trail & Oostanaula Levee Trail
The Downtown Riverfront Trail is a paved pathway that follows alongside the Oostanaula River in the heart of Rome. The trail stretches from the confluence with the Coosa River to Ridge Ferry Park. The Downtown Riverfront Trail connects with the Oostanaula Levee Trail and pathways in Ridge Ferry Park.
Viking Trail
The Viking Trail is a 3.5-mile long paved pathway that extends to the northwest from the campus of Berry College. The northwest end of the trial is located inthe community of Mt. Berry.
The Viking Trail takes a relatively straight shot and is located in the woodlands away from roadways and traffic.
