The Anacostia Tributary Trail System consists of several paved and unpaved trails located in Prince George County in Eastern Maryland. The trails span out from the border with Washington D.C. and have several branches that follow the waterways into several different communities. The trails go by the campus of the University of Maryland.
The trails in this system include: Anacostia River Trail, Indian Creek Trail, Northeast Branch Trail, Paint Branch Trail, Sligo Creek Trail and the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail. The trail system is also part of the American Discovery Trail and the East Coast Greenway.
Conditions
The trails are open for non-motorized uses such as bike riding, running and walking. Bikes are not allowed on some of the trails.
