The Washington, Baltimore & Annapolis Trail, or WB&A Trail, is a 13-mile long paved pathway in two separate sections that span between Lanham and Odenton in Maryland. This area lies between the greater Washington DC area, Annapolis and Baltimore. The trail follows the route of an abandoned railroad right-of-way and takes a diagonal direction through residential neighborhoods, farmland and natural areas.
A portion of the WB&A Trail is located in Prince George's County and a portion of the trail is located in Anne Arundel County. There is a gap in the WB&A Trail at the Patuxent River Park in the community in Bowie. The trail is completed in two sections with a gap at the Patuxent River and a few other short gaps where trail users will need to use local roadways to reach the next section of trail.
Conditions
The Washington, Baltimore & Annapolis Trail is almost entirely paved.
There is a gap in the WB&A Trail at the Patuxent River Park in the community in Bowie.
