Minot is situated along the Souris River in Ward County in north central North Dakota. It is the home of Minot Air Force Base.
The city has numerous recreational trails for bike riding, running and walking that follow alongside major roadways. There are also several sections of paved pathway within parks along the Souris River.
County Road 15 Multi-Use Path
The Country Road 15 Multi-Use Path is a 4.3-mile long paved pathway that is adjacent to County Road 15 from 75th Street NW to 25th Street NW. The trail connects the City of Minot with the community of Burlington. It intersects the 2-mile long paved multi-use path that runs alongside Highway 83.
Highway 83 Multi-Use Path
The Highway 83 Multi-Use Path is a 2-mile long paved pathway that follows alongside the roadway from 25th Street SW to 21st Avenue NW. It connects to other recreational trails at both ends and at County Road 15. Jack Hoeven Park is located near the south end of the trail.
Oak Park Trail
Oak Park is located along an oxbow lake of the Souris River. Within the park, there is a mile long paved pathway that follows the river.
Roosevelt Park
Roosevelt Park is also located along the Souris River. The park has paved pathways for bike riding and walking with three bridges for crossing the river.
