The Westmoreland Heritage Trail is a 9-mile long unpaved pathway that stretches between Delmont and Saltsburg in Western Pennsylvania. The trail follows an abandoned railroad right-of-way through the beautiful countryside of Pennsylvania, passing the Beaver Run Reservoir, Loyolhanna Creek and the Conemaugh River. There are plans to extend the route to the west as far as the community of Trafford and eventually connect to the Great Allegheny Passage.
Conditions
The Westmoreland Heritage Trail is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding and walking. The surface is that of compacted crushed limestone. The trail goes through thickly forested areas.

The Westmoreland Heritage Trail goes near the communities of Delmont, Slickville and Saltsburg.
End Points
The west end of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail is located near Athena Drive and Lauffer Mine Road on the northeast side of Delmont.
The east end of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail is located at the intersection of Canal and Water Street in Saltsburg, just after crossing the Conemaugh River. This point is also the intersection with the West Penn Trail that then goes as far east as Blairsville.
