Cheyenne is located in near the southeast corner of the State of Wyoming, 10 miles north of the border with Colorado and 40 miles west of Nebraska. Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming, is the most populous city in the state and is home to Francis E. Warren Air Force Base. The elevation of Cheyenne is actually higher than that of Denver, but the town is relatively flat, which makes cycling about town relatively easy.
Cheyenne has a large network of wide paved recreational trails for cycling, walking and running. These paths are located throughout the city and connect several city parks and local schools.
