The Southern DuPage County Regional Trail is a 46-mile long system of paved and unpaved trails located in the southern portion of DuPage County. The trails extend from Aurora to Willowbrook in the western portion of the Chicago Metropolitan area. The trails include the pathways in Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, Green Valley Forest Preserve and Waterfall Glen County Forest Preserve.
Conditions
The Southern DuPage County Regional Trail has a variety of trails that range from off-road unpaved and paved pathways, roadside pathways and some bicycle lanes. The trails are open for bike riding, walking and running.

The Southern DuPage County Regional Trail intersects other recreational trails in the area and is near by to others. The trail connects to the trails within the forests preserves along its route.
Waubonsie Creek Trail: this trail is located in Aurora a few blocks to the west of the Southern DuPage County Regional Trail.
DuPage River Trail: the two trails intersect near 75th Street and W. Washington Street in Naperville.
Centennial Trail: this trail follows alongside the Des Plaines River to the south of the Southern DuPage County Regional Trail.
End Points
The Southern DuPage County Regional Trail has several branches and loops within its route.
The western most point of the Southern DuPage County Regional Trail is located at Clearwood Park off of Ogden Avenue, 1/3 of a mile northeast of Long Grove Drive in Aurora.
The northern most point of the off-street trail is located along Jackson Drive bear Willow Creek Elementary School. This location is to the northeast of the interchange of 63rd Street and Interstate 355 in Woodridge. The route continues from here with designated bike lanes.
Another eastern endpoint is located at the intersection of Manning Road and Plainfield Road in Darien.
The southeastern portion of the trail loops around the Argonne National Laboratory within the Waterfall Glen County Forest Preserve. This area is to the west of Route 83 and southeast of Interstate 55 in Lemont.
