Scottsbluff is located along the North Platte River on the western side of the state of Nebraska. The Scottsbluff area has several paved or unpaved recreational trails for bike riding and walking.
Scotts Bluff National Monument
The Scotts Bluff National Monument is located just southwest of the city. The monument has paved and unpaved hiking trails for exploring this scenic area.
Monument Valley Pathway
The Monument Valley Pathway is a 2-mile long paved pathway that travels alongside the North Platte River to the west of 10th Street. The trail goes past Riverside Park and offers views of the monument on the south side of the river. There is parking for the trail at the intersection of S. Beltline Highway and 10th Street.
Carpenter Park
There are pleasant paved pathways in Carpenter Park, located on either side of Stable Club Road. The paths wrap around the lake, past the ball fields and lead to the Carpenter Center.
Frank Park & Terry Carpenter Park
There are paved pathways in Frank Park and Terry Carpenter Park on the north side of Scottsbluff.
U Street Multi-Use Path
There is a 1.3-mile long paved pathway adjacent to U Street. The trail goes past Gering High School and leads to the trails at Scotts Bluff National Monument.
