Jersey City is located along the Hudson River across from New York City. The communities in this area include Bayonne, Hoboken, Union City, West New York and North Bergen.
Hudson River Waterfront Walkway
The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway is a system of separate paved pathways located along the shores of the Hudson Riverin various communities. From the river shores, there are fantasic views of the New York Skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The paved pathway consists of separate sections along 20 miles of the Hudson River waterfront from the Bayonne Bridge to the George Washington Bridge.
The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway goes past numerous parks, marinas, docks, piers and other points of interest. These points of interest include Flag Plaza which has the closest view of the Statue of Liberty. The walkway also goes past Liberty State Park which has a walkway over to Ellis Island and is located near the where the ferries head over to the Statue of Liberty.
For those wishing to head over to Manhattan, the walkway also goes past the Exchange Place PATH Station, the Hoboken Waterway Ferry Terminal and the Hoboken PATH Station. The walkway allows connections to the pedestrian path along the Bayonne Bridge and the George Washington Bridge.
