The Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail is a 17-mile long paved pathway that spans between the cities of Gainesville and Hawthorne in Northern Florida. The trail goes past designated conservation areas and past miles of thick forest land. Most of the trail is located away from roadways and congestion.

End Points
The northwest end of the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail is located at SW Depot Avenue and SW 6th Street in Gainesville. This point is just east of the University of Florida campus. The north end of the trail is also located near the newly renovated Depot Park.
The southeast end of the trail is located at 218th Street in Hawthorne, just south of Hawthorne High School.
