Regional Trails

Leesburg is located to the northwest of Orlando in Central Florida. Communities in the area include: The Villages, Leesburg, Lady Lake, Wildwood, Fruitland Park, Tavares, Haines Creek, Adamsville and Coleman. This area is within Lake County and Sumpter County.

The Villages Multi-Modal Paths

The communities of The Villages has a large system of paved multi-modal paths that are open to golf carts, bicycles and pedestrians. The paths mainly follow alongside the major roadways and have underpasses for crossing to the other side in several locations. These paths are designated for carts, bicycles and pedestrians and are not to be confused with the paths for golf carts that travel through the golf courses.

Leesburg Rail Trail

The Leesburg Rail Trail is a 3.5-mile long paved pathway located in the middle of Leesburg. The trail spans between Willowbrook Drive and N. Canal Street to the south of North Boulevard. A branch of the trail extends up to Griffin Road.

US 441 Multi-Use Path &

The US 441 Multi-Use Path is a 3.3-mile long paved pathway that follows alongside US 441 and W. Alfred Street between Leesburg and Tavares. The trail starts near the VIA/Port Mall and W. Main Street in Travares.
