The South Dade Trail is a 20.5-mile long paved pathway located in the south side of the Miami area in Southern Florida. The route follows alongside the State Route 1 from the Dadeland South Metrorail Station in Miami near the Palmetto Expressway to SW 177th Court in Florida City. The route of the trail goes through the commercial, industrial and residential areas on the south side of the Miami urban area, crossing the many major roadways along the way.
The north end of the South Dade Trail allows a connection to the M-Path recreation trail that extends to the north as far as Downtown Miami. The Black Creek Trail also crosses the South Dade Trail on the south side of the Southland Mall.
Conditions
The South Dade Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking. The trail travels alongside major roadways and there are numerous road crossings
