The Stringfellow Road Multi-Use Path is a 13.8-mile long paved pathway located alongside Stringfellow Road on Pine Island. The route of the path extends for most of the length of Pine Island from St. James City, through Pine Island Charter to just south of Bokeelia. Pine Island is 17-miles long and located just west of Cape Coral. Pine Island Road is the only road that leads to the island and it goes through the community of Matlacha.
Pine Island is a secluded area with orchards, wetland preserves and natural areas, colorful shops, local restaurants and residential areas in a laid back atmosphere. The island offers fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, swimming, wildlife viewing and a great place to relax under a palm tree. The bike path goes down the middle of the island, but there are roads that head off to the various attractions along the way.
Conditions
The Stringfellow Road Multi-Use Path is paved the entire route. The path follows alongside Stringfellow Road, but there is a buffer between the path and the roadway for most of the route. The path is open for bike riding, running and walking.

The Stringfellow Road Multi-Use Path goes past the following communities: Bokeelia, Pine Island Center and St. James City. Pine Island is directly west of Cape Coral.

End Points
The north end of the Stringfellow Road Multi-Use Path is located at Barrancas Avenue to the south of Bokeelia.
The south end of the path is located just south of York Road in St. James City.
