The M-Path is a 10-mile long paved pathway that is located in the heart of Miami. The route follows alongside SW 1st Avenue and State Route 1 from Downtown Miami to the Palmetto Expressway. The pathway is located underneath the the Miami Metrorail lines as it travels through the neighborhoods and commercial areas of Miami winding between the support columns. Much of the trail travels through landscaped greenspaces with shade trees, lighting, benches and other points of interest.
The north end of the M-Path meets up with the Miami Riverwalk that follows alongside the Miami River. The trail goes past several local parks and is only blocks away from the waterfront. The trail also goes nearby to museums, restaurants, shops and the campus for the University of Miami.The trail also goes past several Miami Metrorail stations.
The south end of the M-Path meets up with the South Dade Trail that extends to the south as far as Homestead and Florida City. The M-Path also comes within a couple blocks of the Rickenbacker Trail that heads out to Key Biscayne.
Conditions
The M-Path is paved the entire route. The route does have numerous street crossings and can get congested as you get into the more urban sections. The trail is open for bike riding, walking and running.

Miami Riverwalk: the two trail meet at the north end of the M-Path along the Miami River at SW 1st Court to the north of SW 7th Street in Downtown Miami.
Rickenbacker Trail: the Rickenbacker Trail can be reached by traveling southeast along SW 26th Road from the M-Path. The Rickenbacker Trail then heads out along the Rickenbacker causeway to Key Biscayne.
South Dade Trail: the two trails meet at the south end of the M-Path at Dadeland Boulevard and Pinecrest Parkway in Miami. The South Dade Trail then travels for 20.5 miles to the south as far as Florida City.
