The Heart of Ohio Trail is a 16-mile long paved path that spans between the Village of Centerburg and the City of Mount Vernon in Central Ohio. Another 1.6-mile paved section has been contructed between Merideth State Road and N. County Line Road. When completed, the trail will stretch a total of 20 miles. The route of the trail goes through beautiful Ohio countryside, past farmland and through thick woods. The Heart of Ohio Trail is one section of the Ohio to Erie Trail that stretches across the entire state.
End Points
The southwest end of the Heart of Ohio Trail is located along Huffman Road, at a 1/2 mile south of Columbus Road southwest of Centerburg. There is a trailhead with parking in Memorial Park on Johnsville Road in Centerburg.
The northeast end of the Heart of Ohio Trail is located off of Main Street at the Kokosing River in Mount Vernon.
