The Crystal Springs Regional Trail is a 15.3-mile long trail system that is divided into three segments, the San Andreas Segment, the Sawyer Camp Segment and the Crystal Springs Segment. The trails are located along San Andreas Lake and Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir which are situated just west of Interstate 280.

The trails also connect to many hiking trails in Sweeney Ridge, San Pedro Valley County Park and Rancho Corral de la Tierra. This area consists of the hills, valleys and mountains between San Mateo and the communities along the Pacific Ocean.

San Andreas Segment

The San Andreas Segment of the Crystal Springs Regional Trail is a 2.7-mile long paved trail that extends from Skyline Boulevard at San Bruno Avenue to Hillcrest Boulevard. There is parking available across the street from the trail. This segment of the trail also connects to hiking trails that wander about the Sweeney Ridge area.

The south end of the San Andreas Segment meets the north end of the Sawyer Camp Segment at Hillcrest Boulevard.

Sawyer Camp Segment

The Sawyer Camp Segment is a 6-mile long paved path that extends from Hillcrest Boulevard to Crystal Springs Road. This segment of the Crystal Springs Regional Trail is located farther away from the roads and congestion. It passes by both San Andreas Lake and Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir and does quite a bit of meandering along the way.

Crystal Springs Segment

The Crystal Springs Segment is more of a hiking trail and bikes are not allowed. The trail starts at the west end of the Ralston Bike Trail and extends as far south as Huddart County Park. This segment of the trail is not shown on our map.

Ralston Bike Trail

The Ralston Bike Trail is a 1-mile long paved trail that leads to the Crystal Springs Regional Trail from Ralston Avenue near Highway 92. There is a trailhead with parking on Ralston Road to the south of the interchange.
