Recreational trails for walking, running and cycling in Manteca and Lathrop, California
The cities of Manteca and Lathrop are located directly south of the City of Stockton. There are a number of paved recreational trails within these cities for bike riding, walking, running and commuting to work or to school. The pathway system is growing and plans have been made in Manteca to expand the system to many other sections of town.
Tidewater Bikeway
The Tidewater Bikeway is a 6.4-mile long paved pathway that travels through the middle of Manteca. The trail goes near several parks and schools.
The north end of the Tidewater Bikeway is 0.6 miles north of W. Lathrop Avenue and 0.5 miles west of Highway 99. From this point the trail travels directly south for 2.4 miles to the railroad tracks. The trail then heads to the southeast, alongside the tracks, for 4 miles to the intersection of Moffat Boulevard and Spreckles Avenue.
The Tidewater Bikeway goes near the following points of interest: Northgate Park, East Union High School, Franciscan Park, Manteca Skateboard Park, Library Park, Manteca Public Library, Lincoln Park and Spreckles Park.
