The Rio Hondo River Trail is a 17-mile long paved pathway that follows the channel for the Rio Hondo River from where it meets the San Gabriel River in South Gate to Peck Road Park in El Monte in Los Angeles County in Southern California.
The trail goes past a number of local parks and regional parks, including the Whittier Narrows Natural Area.
Conditions
The Rio Hondo River Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking. The trail sits at the top of the channel for the river and has relatively few road crossings.

End Points
The southwest end of Rio Hondo River Trail is located along Imperial Highway to the east of Interstate 710.
