The Oak Savannah Trail is a 8.8-mile long paved pathway that extends from Oak Ridge Prairie County Park in Griffith to E. 5th Street and S. Indiana Street in Hobart. The trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad right-of-way and travels in an east-west direction. The route includes thick forests, residential neighborhoods and farmland.
Conditions
The Oak Savannah Trail is paved and open for bike riding, running and walking. The trail does have numerous street crossings.

End Points
The west end of the Oak Savannah Trail is located at the parking area for Oak Ridge Prairie County Park on S. Colfax Street in Griffith. In Hobart, there is a large parking area for the trail off of Lake Street, south of E. 7th Street.
The east end of the trail is located at Indiana Street and E. 5th Street in Hobart. Trail users can use the local streets in Hobart to connect to the Prairie Duneland Trail that extends over 10-miles from Hobart to Broadway in Chesterton.
