The Leon Creek Greenway is a 18.5-mile long system of separate paved pathways located on the west side of the San Antonio area. There are three separate sections to the trail, with the northernmost being 15-miles long. The north end of this section is located near Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the campus of the University of Texas at the interchange between the E Charles William Anderson Loop and Interstate 10. The south end of this section is located near the interchange of W. Military Drive and Interstate 410.
The other sections of the Leon Creek Greenway are 2-miles and 1.5 miles long and located farther to the south along Leon Creek. One section is located to the northwest of the Nelson W, Wolff Municipal Stadium and off of Old Highway 90 W. The other section is located to the south of Old Pearsall Road.
The trails wander through the natural areas alongside the creek. The route passes several local parks, golf courses and residential neighborhoods. There are long stretches of trail located well away from traffic and roadways with underpasses for many of the major streets.
Conditions
The Leon Creek Greenway is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking.

End Points
The northeast end of the northern section of the Leon Creek Greenway is located along the frontage road for Interstate 10 to the north of the interchange with the E. Charles William Anderson Loop. The southwest end of the 15-mile northerly section is located along W. Military Driver to the east of Interstate 410.
The 2-mile long middle section of the trail has an endpoint along Gena Drive to the north of Old Highway 90. The other endpoint is located to the south of Enrique M. Barrera Parkway at Levi Strauss Park.
The 1.5-mile long southerly section has a trailhead with parking along Old Pearsall Road near Medina Base Road.
