The Mascoutin Valley State Trail is divided into two separate unpaved trails located in Southeastern Wisconsin. The 11.2-mile long west section extends between Berlin and Ripon. The 9.7-mile long east section extends from Rosendale to Fond du Lac. These trails were constructed along abandoned railroad right-of-ways. They cross wide open agricultural areas away from traffic and congestion.
Conditions
The Mascoutin Valley State Trail is mostly unpaved with a surface of compacted crushed limestone. The trail is open for bike riding and hiking. Snowmobiles are allowed in snowy seasons.

The Mascoutin Valley State Trail goes past the following communities: Berlin, Rush Lake, Ripon Rosendale and Fond Du Lac
End Points
There are two separate sections for the Mascoutin Valley State Trail.
The west end of the west section of the trail is located at South Street on the south side of Berlin. The east end of this section of the trail is located at County Road E on the north boundary of Ripon.
The west end of the east section of the trail is located at N. Main Street, just south of E. Rose-Eld Road on the north side of Rosendale. The east end of this section of the trail is located at N. Rolling Meadows Drive to the north of W. Scott Street on the west side of Fond Du Lac.
