Arden Hills and Shoreview are communities located to the north of St. Paul.
This area of the Minneapolis-St. Paul urban area has numerous recreational trails for bike riding and walking. Many of the trails are multi-use paved paths that follow alongside the major roadways. Other trails may be paved or unpaved and wander through the preserves, local parks and natural areas or through residential neighborhoods.
Rice Creek North Regional Trail
The Rice Creek North Regional Trail is a system of paved pathways on the north side of Shoreview. Most of the trail system is located to the east of Interstate 35W and south of County Road J. The trail wanders through the natural areas adjacent to the meandering creek and the route is placed away from roadways and traffic. There are multiple access paths that lead into the adjacent neighborhoods and the Rice Creek North Regional Trail connects to other recreational trails along the major roadways.
Vadnais-Snail Lake Regional Park Trail
Snail Lake Regional Park is located in Ramsey County between Interstate 694 and Highway 96 W. The park has a system of paved pathways that go past Snail Lake and the adjacent residential neighborhoods.
