Woodbury is located in Washington County the southeast of St. Paul in southeastern Minnesota.
There are numerous recreational trails located alongside the major roadways in Woodbury for getting about the city. There is also a large network of paved neighborhood trails that wander through the residential communities, going past parks, lakes and schools.
Carver Lake Park Trails
Carver Lake Park is located to the south of Lake Road on the southwest side of Woodbury. There are over 2-miles of paved pathways for exploring this area.
Colby Lake Trail
Colby Lake is located in the middle of Woodbury to the north of Lake Road and west of Woodbury Drive. There is a 2.3-mile long pathway around the lake and the pathway connects to other paths that lead north to Carver Lake Park
Mississippi River Trail
The Mississippi River Trail is a 12.2-mile long paved pathway that follows alongside the river from South St. Paul to Inver Grove Heights. The trail is located just west of Woodbury and can be reached via the multi-use path alongside Bailey Road to the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the bridge for Interstate 494.
The Mississippi River Trail goes through several parks and natural areas along its route and for much of the route is located away from traffic and congestion.
