The Border-to-Border Trail is a 10.5-mile long paved pathway that follows alongside the banks of the Huron River through the middle of the Ann Arbor urban area. The trail takes you through natural areas, several parks and across bridges for views of the activity along the river. This trail also connects to other local trails that take you to other destinations such as Nichols Arboretum, the University of Michigan North campus and Eastern Michigan University campus.
Another completed section of the Border-to-Border Trail system is located to the northwest and extends from Hudson Mills to Dexter.
Conditions
The Border-to-Border Trail is paved for the entire route through Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. The route has few road crossings. The trail is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding, running and walking.

End Points
The northwest end of the Border-to-Border Trail is located at Barton Park along W. Huron River Drive in Ann Arbor.
