The Lake Independence Regional Trail is a 15.9-mile long paved pathway that spans between Hanover and Orono in Central Minnesota. This area is located to the west of the Minneapolis - St. Paul urban area. The trail follows County Road 19 past wide open farmland, goes past Lake Independence, Baker Park Reserve, Morris T. Baker County Park, follows alongside Old Crystal Bay Road N. and connects to the Luce Line State Trail in Orono.
Conditions
The Lake Independence Regional Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking. For much of the route the trail runs alongside local roads. There is a large portion that is located away from roadways and wonders around the parks.

End Points
The north end of the Lake Independence Regional Trail is located at the intersection of 109th Avenue N. and Crow-Hassen Park Road in Hanover.
