The Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail is a 16-mile long paved and unpaved trail located to the southwest of the Minneapolis metropolitan area. The trail extends from the community of Victoria, travels along the residential areas south of Lake Minnetonka, through the City of Chanhassen, the City of Shorewood and the City of Minnetonka, then over to the City of Hopkins. There are several local trails that connect to the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail as well as other major regional trails.
Conditions
The Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail has stretches that have asphalt pavement, but also has long stretches with aggregate for the base, it is not suitable for all types of bikes. In summer months, the trail is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding, running and walking.

Carver Park Reserve Trails: the trails within Carver Park Reserve can be reached from the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail near Park Drive and Arboretum Boulevard in Victoria.
Minnesota River Bluffs Regional Trail & Cedar Lake Regional Trail: these two trails are located a few blocks to the south of the eastern end of the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail in Hopkins.
End Points
The western end of the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail is located near the intersection of Arboretum Boulevard and 80th Street in the City of Victoria. From this location the trail heads to the west and crosses Arboretum Boulevard and wraps around the south side of Steiger Lake in the Carver Park Reserve. You can connect to the paved trails in Carver Park Reserve just west of Park Drive.
The southeast end of the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail is located at the intersection of Main Street and 6th Avenue North in Hopkins. This terminus is just north of the Cedar Lake Regional Trail, which then extends to the southwest side of Minneapolis or to the Minnesota River Buffs Regional Trail heading west.
