Recreational trails for walking, running and cycling in Findlay, Ohio
Findlay is located along the Blanchard River in Hancock County in Northeastern Ohio. The city has a number of recreational trails for walking and riding that are located along the Blanchard River or in the local parks.
Blanchard River Greenway and Riverside Park
Findlay has several separate sections of paved and unpaved pathways that follow alongside the Blanchard River near the middle of the city.
Slippery Elm Trail
The Slippery Elm Trail is a 13-mile long paved pathway located 9 miles to the north of Findlay. The trail extends between Bowling Green and North Baltimore in Northwestern Ohio. This area is located 20-miles to the south of Toledo.
The Slippery Elm Trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad right-of-way and travels through wide open farmland. The north end of the trail is located 1 mile from Bowling Green State University.
